Steak Sizzler

Ingredients

Marination:

  • 500g steak (rump / flat iron)
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 2 tsps lemon juice
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Texan spice / Robertsons BBQ spice
  • 1 tbsp vinegar

Sauces:

  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 medium red pepper (sliced)
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • 1 medium green pepper (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Cholula Sauce
  • 2 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp regal hot chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Recite Bismillah.
  2. Marinate steak in listed ingredients preferably overnight.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan & stir fry the onions & peppers till tender. Remove from pan.
  4. Add a drizzle of oil if needed into the pan & cook steak on high heat till tender. You may need to add water depending on the quality of your steak.
  5. Once tender, add the onions & peppers to the steak.
  6. Add sauces & simmer till oil releases.
  7. Serve with naan / chips & salad.
