Green Beans 

Ingredients 

  • 1 small onion (finely sliced)
  • 4 tbsps oil ( you may need more )
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 3/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 heaped tsp red chillies (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsps grounded tomato
  • 205g green beans
  • 1 cup minced chicken

Method 

  1. Recite Bismillah.
  2. Fry onions in oil till pinkish in colour.
  3. Meanwhile remove the ends of the green beans & cut them in half or in thirds. Wash & set aside.
  4. Lower the heat then add ginger garlic.
  5. Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Then add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chillies, turmeric & salt.
  7. Cook for a few minutes.
  8. Now add grounded tomato & cook for a few minutes.
  9. Add the greeen beans.
  10. Cook on low heat with the lid closed for 10 minutes.
  11. Then add the minced chicken.
  12. Cook on low heat for about 2 minutes, stirring continuously so that the minced chicken does not go lumpy.
  13. Place a flat skillet underneath the pot & cook on low heat till the beans are tender.
  14. Serve with hot chapatis!
