
Ingredients
Marination
- 300g boneless chicken (cubed)
- 1 tbsp tandoori masala (may need more depending on which brand you use)
- 1 heaped tsp yoghurt
- juice of 1/4 of a lemon
Masalah:
- 2 tbsps oil
- 1 heaped tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp kasturi methi (crushed)
- 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- chili flakes to taste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder or to taste
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- pinch of turmeric
- 1/2 cup tin tomato / passata (grounded)
- 2 tsp tomato puree
- 1 bullet chilli (ringed)
- A handful of chopped green peppers
Method
- Recite Bismillah
- Marinate the chicken in lemon juice, yoghurt and tandoori masala and ginger garlic paste for 30 mins.
- Braise onion in butter and oil until transparent.
- Add kasturi methi, followed by ginger garlic paste. Cook for few seconds.
- Add spices, tomato puree & tin tomato / passata. Cook till oil releases.
- Then add in the marinated chicken.
- Cook on medium heat till the water evaporates and the chicken is tender.
- Add green peppers and bullet chillies allow to cook for a few minutes.
- Serve with parathas, chips, salad & sauces. Enjoy!
