Cheese & Onion Pasties


Ingredients

  • 1 kg puff pastry
  • 1 lb cheese
  • 2 medium onions
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • double cream as needed
  • 1 beaten egg

Method

  1. Recite Bismillah
  2. Boil potatoes.
  3. Peel & mash. Add double cream & mix till smooth & creamy.
  4. Cube onions & cook in a bit of butter till transparent.
  5. Add onions to mash potatoes.
  6. Add cheese, egg, salt & pepper to taste.
  7. Roll out puff pastry & fill.
  8. Freeze & bake as needed on 180c till lightly golden.
