Ingredients
- 500g whole chicken breast
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsps yogurt
- 1 tsp ginger garlic
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1/2 onion (finely chopped)
- 150g mushrooms (finely chopped) / 1 tin sliced mushrooms
- Mayonnaise to taste
- cream cheese to taste
- 1 1/2 cups mixed peppers (or to preference)
- 1 packet baby spinach (300g)
- big knob of butter
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper or to taste
- green chillies to taste
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- grated cheese (optional)
- puff pastry
- beaten egg to glaze
Method
- Recite Bismillah.
- Cook chicken (whole breast) with onion in ginger garlic, salt, pepper, green chillies, turmeric & yogurt till water evaporates, with lid on, on low heat.
- Shred Chicken & keep aside. Do not throw away the stock.
- To the stock, add garlic, salt, pepper, mixed peppers, mushrooms & cook till soft.
- Add chicken & mix well. Cook for few mins.
- Turn off heat. Add cream cheese & mayo.
- In a separate pot cook spinach in a little butter till tender. Discard liquid & cool. Add to above mixture along with cheese
- Fill pies & glaze with beaten eff.
- Freeze & bake at 180c till golden as needed. Enjoy!
