Chicken Masala

Ingredients

  • 400g boneless chicken
  • 1 1/2 medium onions (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder or to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp kasturi methi (crushed)
  • 1/2 tin (200ml) plum tomatoes (grounded)
  • 1 heaped tsp ginger garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • a sprinkle of garam masala powder
  • fresh coriander to garnish
  • bullet chillies

Method

  1. Recite Bismillah.
  2. Sauté onions oil & kasturi methi. until the onions begin to brown on the edges.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste & sauté for a min.
  4. Then add the chicken, turmeric & salt.
  5. Mix, cover & cook on medium heat till water evaporates.
  6. Add cumin, coriander, chilli, paprika powder & tandoori masala & cook the spices for a minute.
  7. Now add the tinned tomato & cook till oil releases.
  8. Add garam masala & mix.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander & bullet chillies.
  10. Serve with hot chapatis or naan. Enjoy
