Bhaji Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch methi bhaji
  • 1/2 tin cream style sweetcorn (or sweetcorn blended with milk)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 small eggs
  • 1 medium onion grated
  • 1/4 cup gram flour
  • 1/4 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • Green chilli paste to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder

Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds

Method

  1. Recite Bismillah.
  2. Combine all the ingredients except the baking powder in a bowl. (Add the baking powder just before baking).
  3. Preheat oven to 180C fan oven (gas mark 4).
  4. Pour into a 7 inch square oven proof dish. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  5. Bake till golden on top.
  6. Cut into squares Enjoy!
