Ingredients
- 500g lamb
- 1/4 onion chopped
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 cloves
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/4 tsp arad (turmeric powder)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger garlic
Wagaar:
- 3 medium sliced onions
- 9 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic
- 2 tsp dhana powder ( coriander powder)
- 1tsp jeeru powder (cumin powder)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp arad (turmeric powder)
- 1 big fresh tomato chopped
- 3-5 tbsp tin tomato
- 1 tsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Chopped coriander
- Ringed green chillies
- Recite Bismillah.
- Cook onions in oil with cinnamon & cloves until brown.
- Then add meat , ginger garlic & turmeric.
- Add salt when meat nearly done.
- Prepare the wagaar by cooking onions in oil till golden.
- Lower the heat & add ginger garlic & braise.
- Then add coriander powder, cumin powder,. red chilli powder, turmeric powder & cook for a few mins.
- Add fresh tomato , tinned tomato & tomato puree.
- Cook until oil separates.
- Add meat & 1 tsp garam masala.
- simmer on low heat for a few mins, add water if needed & salt to taste.
- Add desired amount of chopped coriander & green ringed chillies.
- Serve with naan.
